Potassium tetrathionate, K2S4O6
The Potassium tetrathionate, K2S4O6 is formed by the interaction of potassium thiosulphate in aqueous solution and iodine, the salt being precipitated from the reaction-mixture by addition of alcohol. It is crystalline, and has a density of 2.296. The heat of formation from the elements is 397.21 Cal.
