Potassium percarbonate, K2C2O6
Electrolysis of a solution of the normal carbonate between -30° and 40° C. yields a 90 per cent. Potassium percarbonate, K2C2O6, a very unstable substance, readily converted into the primary carbonate and oxygen. It is a white, crystalline powder, and is decomposed energetically by water with evolution of oxygen.
