Potassium trithionate, K2S3O6
The Potassium trithionate, K2S3O6 is prepared by the action of sulphurous acid on potassium thiosulphate, and separates in rhombic crystals, of density 2.304 at 20° C. Its heat of formation is given as 405.85 Cal. and 416.0 Cal. It dissolves readily in water, forming a neutral solution.
